What’s Behind the Locked Door? – A fiction writing prompt


Your main character inherits a seaside mansion from a mysterious and unknown relative. In fact, your main character has only heard their name uttered once, and the individuals was quickly told to silence themselves, but as the only living heir, your character was forced to take the mansion, if only long enough to remodel and sell. However, upon exploring the house and getting it ready for the construction crew, he or she discovers a locked door that seemingly has no key? Where’s the key? How does your character find it, and what’s behind that door? - You decide with this fiction writing prompt.
