Teenagers Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible were kidnapped, tortured, raped and believed to have been killed, though their bodies were never found. Their case has led to legislation through the Oklahoma State House that could lead to harsher sentencing for people convicted of accessory to murder.

The girls were last seen alive in December of 1999, and Bible’s mother, Lorene, has continued the search for 25 years.

“We love her, and we’ve never stopped searching for her,” Lorene Bible said. “Until the day I die, unless someone comes forward that knows something, I’ll continue to do that.”
